speaking of ghosts, here's an interesting paper on a phenomenon that most people almost certainly would term as haunting. An engineer happened to experience it himself and with some luck was able to figure out what was going on. He then wrote a paper which appeared in the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research. Quite entertaining and not really technical.
