Here's a sample I cooked up recently. I don't know if the melody works because I can't really build much else on it. Please, give the sample a listen and let me know what you think. I haven't throw in all the surround effects and noise, so it's not as rich.

Your baselines production is getting better nowadays. Awesome. The melo didn't catch me. The lead synth sounded like it had an osc +1 octave above the rest which made it sound strange. Its got that v-station sound to it.

Back to the melo. Its got this blank and jones - djs, fans, and freaks (cosmic gate remix) feel to it. Its happy, but its got some epic emotional undertones.

I wouldn't go with the melody personaly though.

I love that kick and bass and use of percs though. nice. btw, is that you in the pic?

couple questions:

wat key is ur song in? wat synth you use for ur bassline? it sounds really professional..


i liked the melody but i think maybe a different sound than the one you use?

I was trying to go for something bitter sweet. I think I'm gonna revamp the melody, but more suggestions would be appreciated.

Theognis1002: The bassline is made with 3xosc in fruityloops and it's in D minor.

I did some digging, and it looks like Hyori Lee is a south korean actress.

I made this massive pad by allocating each note to one v-station, with a total of 5 v-stations running. It was massive!!!! I'll upload that soon. Its a great synth, but the effects, and definitely the filter are easy to recognize, they have a unique sound for sure.

The bassline is wicked!!! Good Job bro.

I totally agree, sounds quite professional. the melody is not a dancefloor-burner, but this a matter of taste. nevertheless the bassline is like a top trance track. respect!

What is so leet about the bassline? As the user posted, its just a 3osc. Sytrus has this exact bass pluck as a preset btw.

Also, i like the main melody alot, it would be nice to see a more melodic and harmonized bassline melody to go with it. The leveling is pretty nice also. Increase the reverb decay by 2x and it would be very awesome

pretty sick man. I enjoy the melody, and to me it seems that everything is sitting where it's supposed to be, the levels are just right, and the mix is pretty clean too. The bassline is just fat and juicy too.
