Is downloading a Compilation wrong?
I thought the boards needed to be spiced up, so I decided to start an argument.
I think it's wrong to Dl a compilation, the majority of the time you know the style of the Dj and the songs that are on it so why Dl it. There is no valid reason to do it other than to steal from the artist.
Ok I'm ready for the flames.

Actually I don't and I remove them from my audiogalaxy account before they start to Dl. If you wanna hear how it's mixed buy it! I mean there are enough live sets floating around that the artist aren't making money of off to keep everyone happy, why steal the compilation.

Nothings wrong with downloading something, as long as you buy it if you really like it.

i agrre with raccoon, buy it if u like it enough.
also if its an artists own album i.e. tiesto - in my memory then i wouldnt Dl it.
if its a mix album i.e. trance nation 2002, then who gives a f*ck its not all their own material if any at all.

Firstly i think it is a bit lame to start a thread to start a flame war, but i am sure you r only meaning it in a fun way
Anyway i personally think it is ok to download compilations for sampling, and thenn i go out and buy the albums. I got fed up with buying shitty albums. So this way is better coz now i only have good albums
Oh and i would recommend Godskitchen - life, top album

*Yawns* Yes it's all in jest, just to liven things up.
I do agree with D-G though, I bet 95% of the people who say they only Dl to see what its like never go out and buy it if its good.
Plus like I said why would you have to see what it's like, most of the time you know 90% of the songs that are on it, and the Dj's style of mixing. Why would you need to sample it?
