Fl@k - you need a mixer that has a headphone crossfader. I mix on a DJM-707, and I do a partial split cue, with the headphone crossfader between 60~75%, deck B. It makes it much more clear and sharp.
I dont have any hearing issues, although its more relaxing and enjoyable because I dont need to blast the phones in a standard split cue fashion (typical in a club or house party situation).
