Hello everyone,

I am a DJ here locally in southern california, and I will be DJ'in a High School Prom late in the month of May. I am primarily a Hip Hop DJ, but the school's kids would not only like hip hop, but trance and techno as well.

This is quite difficult for me, being a hip hop dj needing to play a different genre of music. What I am asking for is everyone to post THE BEST trance music out right now, and the ones that are great for parties, kids (ages 17-19) and so forth. I really want them to get up off their feet and get excited. While I do not specialize in DJ'in trance, I still know what flows good and what can be mixed.

So, if you all so kindly can, please list songs, dj's, mixes, etc. for me to use for prom. Keep in mind the upbeat high intensity dancing type of stuff. I will deeply appreciate this.

They have killed every crowd I use em on, but watch your levels to voodoo..it screams in high and lows

I spun for a similar crowd once...here's what I did.

I played hiphop with the local DJ for most of the earlier part of the night, and then when it started to get late we dropped Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400. I tried playing some stuff earlier, but it basically cleared the floor. Anyway, the ZN song got everyone up and bouncing because everyone knew it. You should try to open with songs everyone knows like Kernkraft 400 or Darude - Sandstorm.
