Review: Critical Condition w/ David Akermanis, Endgame, M2J, ADJ
All I can say is I Drew always and forever.
Ladies and gents, I believe the Chelsea Room at Dundas and Bathurst could be that new venue that we all miss so much from the days of the Vault...a VERY small and intimate dance floor (not as pretty as the Vault was in Kdub where I first started to meet the friendliest TAs I know) but the vibe was amazing.
Very small crowd showed up, mainly close friends of the DJs (lol thank you, Captain Obvious!) but the quality of the music and track selection was superb!!!
Some highlights:
- salsa dancing to trance LOL!!!
- some awesome banging remixes: Sexy Fuck, Jump, Sexual Seduction, Thriller
- Drew's concert like crowd-singing of Sexy Fuck!!! LOL!!!
- I really liked M2J's old-school flavour of track selection...I think there was some Salt N' Pepa there, was there? or was that ADJ?
- Drew dropped a track he made himself...LMAO at the lyrics!!!
All in all, a fun night. I highly recommend getting a bunch of us together that used to go to the Vault or Purple Room and bang it out in Toronto for a nostalgic night!
Good work, boys!
ps. I tried to dance it up a bit for David, who opened at 9:30 pm but the place was practically empty, with only the other DJs there to keep him company...feel bad about that!
pps. Gonna miss you, Drew!!! You, your girl, and her cousin raised the energy level of the vibe 10x; wouldn't be the same without you!
