Of course it is. Godskitchen do a monthly night which always comes close to selling out. Turmills on a Friday is always rammed - I know they are closing the club down but the night is gunna be moved to MOS, so it will still be busy (and definatly be better). Passion have sold out their last 2 events. Gatecrashers Magna events are always a massive sucess. Slinky have actually just started putting nights back on!
Why would you think its dead? There might not be as much going on as a couple of years ago but its far from dead. Its doing a lot better than many other genres of EDM.
Why do you think its dead?

a lot of it is to do with the dirty perception it has both in the media and amongst people. When they say trance they assume that all trance must mean a&b and armin and the like, and don't assume there is more than that and the bastardised shite we have like cascada, basshunter etc which the chavs & kids of today believe is true trance.

The plus side to there being less trance clubs etc is that it means when you find a trance night, it's normally rammed with up for it clubbers. I'm near Brighton and we don't get much trance, the odd DJ down like Eddie Halliwell etc, but there's an excellent hard dance night nearby.
Electrohouse is on the way out, it's gone way too commercial, it's popularity in the underground has gone in favour of tech-house, and now people will get bored of it.

Gatecrasher at Nottingham is now completely crap, they even have RnB nights for gods sake. Theres only really one good trance night about every month or so, and the lineups on these night still leave a lot to be desired. I personally think they're shooting themselves in the foot, as people used to go to GC because it offered something different, but now they're trying to make it like every other generic club out there.
I wouldnt mind if they played house, techno or whatever, just as long as its not just the same shit that you hear in every bar/club.

i like how you omited to give any credit to the vocalists who's lyrics you bootlegged with fruity loops, unless that is you singing.
either way this is great stuff and it will be used to scare birds away from my weed harvest this summer. |
