Nice trick for your track ))

I'm sorry 4 my terrible English. But if you'll be able to understand... Here's nice trick to make your beat really 'trancy'. We'll try to make your beat according to the heartbeat ))) Forget about freaky samples of recorded human heartbeats. There's another way to resonance.

Do you know what is your heartbeat exactly? What cycles it has?

Here's simple timing of 75 bpm heartbeat cycles:

100 ms, 50 ms, 30 ms, 120 ms, 130 ms, 40 ms, 80 ms, 80 ms, 170 ms.

Every cycle has its own changin' bloodpressure parameter:

from 0 to 8, 8-12, 12-80, 80-120, 120-80, 80-70, 70-0, 0, 0.

So. Simple trance beat has stronger accent on first bassdrum hit. OK. Let's start our 'heart' beat from 120 ms period.

Generate simple sine wave -6 db 120 ms, from 80 Hz to 120 Hz log.Fade it out.
Generate simple sine wave -6 db 130 ms, from 120 Hz to 80 Hz log in the end of previous sample. Fade it out too.
Make these steps with numbers described above. Last wave should be -6 db 100 ms 0,01 sine.

Normalize it to maximum peak. Set loop tempo 75 BPM.

How to use this sample.

Match it to your track BPM.
In Fl I load this sample in beat slicer. You can use any slicer you have )

First. Add it to all length of your track. Sidechain it to ANY channel (it's better to mute 'heartbeat' itself to avoid unwanted low frequencies).

Second. Nice trick too. Use Beat Sliced (or ReCycle ) score of this sample as a timing template for your hats and percussion lines. Nice effect really ))

I hope u'll find it useful.

Ive heard something similar before, but that was that it already did follow the heartbeat at 140, if u were dancing like crazy or high on drugs.

So... It's really just technical and rythmical tool. I guess there's a way to make 'heartlike' melody template. But I don't think it will be nice melody ))
Let's think how to... (thinkin' on the fly )))

Heartbeatin is low&very low frequences, isn't it?

Let's count it... in Hz. 75 BPM means that heartbeatin freq is 75/60=1,25 Hz. Am I right? So, that means (full heart cycle 0,8 sec):

1.100 ms, 0,15625 Hz
2.50 ms, 0,078125
3.30 ms, 0,046875
4.120 ms, 0,1875
5.130 ms, 0,203125
6.40 ms, 0,0625
7.80 ms, 0,125
8.80 ms, 0,125
9.170 ms 0,265625

We know that one octave transposing is mulipl. or div. note freq by 2. Is that OK?

So let's multiply it by 2 11 times to usual notes freq...

1.320 Hz - nearest note E4
2.160 Hz - nearest notes E3, D#3
3.96 Hz - G2
4.384 Hz - G4
5.416 Hz - G#4
6.128 Hz - B2,C3
7.256 Hz - B3, C3
8.256 Hz - B3, C3
9.544 Hz - C5, C#5

I can't try it right now)) I'll try it later )

(by the way. changing tempo will change tune )) 140 BPM first note will be D5 ))

No ))) Main idea is 'resonance'. Just like NLP )) Read Milton Erickson. I can't explain it in English sorry ((

OK... I'll try 2 explain.

We like people similar to us. So it's one of many ways to be 'hypnotic' - to be similar to someone you want to hypnotize. (not to be monkey 4 xmple. Someone breathes mmm... 20 times per minute. If you'll... mmm... clap 4xmple 20 times per minute after a while you both will be in same rythm. There's amazing fact... If you'll still be clappin' and he'll be breathing ))) ... Still after while he'll breath in tempo YOU CLAP.

But. There is no necessity "to clap" same time to enter same rythm with another person. You can make it twice or even 1,5 clap for one breath move))) It has to be proportionally.

So. Theoretically. If we're listening 140 BPM heartbeat it doesn't mean our heart will be beating 140 times per minute ))) Our heart will find its own rythm that is more according&resounding to 140 BPM.

PS
Dammmm it... ))) This text above is really freaky I see )) But I'm learnin ))
