Just because you produce it DOES NOT make you a dj!!!
THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF!!!! AND GETS ON MY NERVES!!!!
IM NOT PUTTING ANYONE ON BLAST OR SAYING ANY NAMES BUT THIS WEEKEND I SAW A DJ WHO REALLY SUCKED ASS AND CANT MIX WORTH SHIT AND JUST WAS TRAINWRECKING EVERY WHERE.
AND I THOUGHT TO MYSELF WHY IS THIS FUCK SPINING HERE WHEN MOST OF US WHO CAN BEAT MATCH AND ARE VERY MUCH INVOLVE IN THE CLUB SCENCE NOT PLAYING HERE!!! ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE SUCKING SOMEONE BALLS VERY GOOD!!!! STOP KISSING SO MUCH ASS AND GET YOUR ASS BACK IN YOUR BEDROOM AND PRATICE TILL YOU LEARN HOW TO BEATMATCH!!!! JUMPING ALL AROUND AND GETTING OVERLY EXCITED IS NOT MAKING YOU LOOK COOL! ITS MAKING YOU LOOK LIKE A DUMB ASS WHEN WE ALREADY KNOW YOUR ASS CANT MIX! SERIOUSLLY WORK ON YOUR SHIT THEM COME OUT AND PLAY!!!
OHHH ANOTHER THING JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN PRODUCE DOESNT MEAN YOU CAN DJ! GET IT STRAIGHT!!!! STOP KISSING SOME ASS AND DO SHIT ON YOUR OWN!!!!
DAMN!!! THIS PISSES ME OFF BUT THATS HOW IT IS JUST POLITICS!!!
OHHH AND BY THE WAY IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS LIKE THIS!!! THERES WAS A SHIT LOAD OF PEOPLE THAT I KNOW THAT WERE AT THIS SPOT TALKING CRAP ABOUT YOU!!!! IM JUST THE ONE TO EXPRESS MY FEELINGS BECAUSE YOU SUCK!!!!! HA HA HA
maybe if you produce (and are good) you have a better reputation and can bring more people to the club. i dont think he was sucking the promoters dick.

Producers actually have more chances of becoming well known DJs versus DJs who just spin well.
Otherwise, there are countless DJs who are actually good at spining to the crowd. But alas, they will unlikely ever make it big. One of my resident DJs is actually the WMC DJ Champ of 2006. But Tiesto will still pull in more crowds.
Come to think of it, in TA, there are a number of excellent DJ's. But producers pull in the crowd.
Just my two cents worth. Rant away...

First, is your caps lock key stuck?
Second, who are you talking about and is he an active member of the west coast board?
It wouldn't at all surprise me of the overwhelming majority of producers were DJ's well before their making tracks.
It's simply due to the fact that probably the best way to accelarate your DJ career is to make a track...and have it be successful.
I don't think these guys are stepping behind the decks for the first time upon getting their tracks signed to a major label- they're just extending their existing DJ'ing into more publicized arenas.
Of course, if they couldn't spin before, there's no reason why they would be able to spin upon getting signed. If anything, I think many people will be less akin to that minor little detail of listening to a DJ who simply can't DJ.

A lot more DJs, well known DJs, started out mainly producing and really couldn't DJ worth a damn and learned DJing after hitting it big producing...
I rememember when FErry would wreck so much when he first started to be known as a DJ.
