This will probably be a long read, so here goes...
Next year I'll be a senior in college. I live with my parents in the same town as the university. They pay for my cell phone and car.
Recently they caught me smoking pot, again. They're really hardcore about not smoking for some reason, they are vehemently against it. So now they're giving me two options: stay and not smoke anymore (and take weekly drug tests) and plan my "future carrer" with them, or leave and live by myself.
If I leave I'll bring my bike, I'll be able to get around town easily(they would take my car). I have a lot of places where I'd be able to crash if I choose to leave. I have about 600 bucks in cash on me. I would probably hop around for a bit, then find somewhere to live during the school year for cheap. (I've got a part time job ~600 a month) School for next year is paid for, so I have to stay in town somewhere (otherwise I would prob leave out of state).
If I stay at my house, its free rent. But I have to put up with my overbearing parents. But I will also have a free cell phone and car(and gas).
Either way I am graduating and moving out next year. So I figure why not just leave now. But im not sure.
So, leave or stay?

Free car & cell phone. Maybe stay until you finish school next year?

I don't know your family dynamic, but I'd get out of there. The free rent isn't really "free" if you can't do what you want when you want. You can manage cell phone situations if you want... and if you're cool with using your bike, then don't sweat the car and gas for now. Your relationship with your parents will probably get a lot better once you are out of the house

moving out might be a good thing to do, we all have to do it sooner or later. but i'd say don't fuck up your relationship with your parents over smoking pot - they're probably not THAT bad (we all have overbearing parents to a certain extent), and you'll probably thank yourself later
