Tracklisting included with set. It's my first real decent mix .. I'm so proud of it. Made it yesterday.. Mostly just using cans (gf was watching the TV) And when i did finally turn my monitors back on i found them to distract me.. You can tell just nearing an hour into the set my mixing gets a bit sloppy).
Most trainwrecks were fixed pretty quickly, rest of the set blew me away at how well it came out.
Drop your opinions/suggestions/feedback (whatever kind) below..
Oh and if anyone knows someone in my area (Brisbane) putting on events.. Please let me know.. I would love to land any gig i can get my hands on.. no charge
Enjoy.

Not bad at all.
Has a real laid back deep club vibe. I've enjoyed it in my ears as I work. Noticed a couple mixes get away from you as you said but you brought them back well enough. Not bad for your first promo. I prefer a bit more energy and diversity in the mix but the track selection was good for the style you're mixin. Definitely great style for a midsummer bbq! Keepin the happy groove vibe goin. I definitely like the last third the most cus those tracks are more my style. Oooh..actually I was still listening to the end as I write and that last mix ends quite abruptly. My honest opinion is this set is 'good enough' but you might want to iron out those parts that got away if you really wanna promote yourself with it.
cheers.

Nicely put indeed. Cheers for the feedback.. Last mix was a pretty big trainwreck.. Should have stuck with my instincts and ended the mix on the 2nd last track because i had no time to cue the last one at all.
The midsummer bbq happy groove vibe is exactly what i was trying to get out of it.. Most people say my sets are generally too dark.. So a change of some tracks has helped to fix that and listening to the mix afterwards (as i said) blew me away at how great it came out.
Perhaps i will try and re-do this mix sometime without the flaws and more mixing in the cans!
A can of pepsi, pack of cigs, and some new tracks i had recently got and listened to in order to determine where i felt each track should be in the mix.

Hey you almost have the same setup as I do, CDJ200s and DJM600
A pack of cig? I suggest you should not smoke while DJ-ing, I had bad experience with my first mixer. It messed it up but luckily I still had the manufacturer warranty on it, so I upgraded mine to DJM600. Anyways, thanks for the mix, will def check it out

I <3 my setup.. Prior to the DJM i was using the Behringer DJX700 so going from that to the DJM was a very nice step indeed. Easpecially for the price i got it for
I very rarely smoke around my setup, I'm not allowed to.. the other half would kill me. It's just too cold to do it outside haha..
Hope you enjoy the mix and don't forget to leave your feedback
Wicked mate, Let us know what you think asap.. We definately gotta get together sometime soon and hammer it out on the decks I'm looking forward to it. Gotta work the rest of the week though .. might give you a ring on the weekend if i get the spare time.
