Review: Come Get Your Fcuk'in Beats @ The Comfort Zone (09/01/08)
Arrived around 10 and the place was rammed and going absolutely bananas for Deko-ze. It's amazing how much I missed this place after only 2 months. I always manage to forget how AMAZING any song sounds coming out of their speakers. Roaches & Joee Cons brought the house down.
A few security staff told me that it was open till 6 but when I came back from BK's at 430 the door was locked Probably a sign to go home already.
Enjoyed hanging out with Daroza, afterhrsgurl, SWFT, Geoff & Justin the lurker. It's always better when TAs are in attendance.
Sketch story of the day: Confusing a stranger for Daroza and thinking that he didn't recognize me because it was so dark. I swear this guy almost started a fight with me. Probably thought I was trying to pick him up

Somehow ended up here on Monday morning lol. Honestly, it was an incredible morning. Deko-ze played the best set I've heard him play since his X-Mass 2005. Banging tech house and techno with a tribal tip. CZ music at it's best. His set kept on getting better and better until he stopped playing. Nathan & Carlo came on and picked up where he left off, but I left shortly after they started.
The vibe in there was insane. I don't think I've seen it like that since May long weekend of 2006. Very low on the sketch factor too.
it was awesome, so glad i went.. first time going since the same event last year. seems like people were right about the raids earlier in the year cleaning the place out.. hardly anyone that looked like hardcore sketchbags / career criminals, nothing you wouldn't see at any of the other afterhours... unlike the times i went before. deko-ze was on fire, roaches and joee cons were great too, don't think i stopped moving while i was there. nice chilling with the TAs, glad i found ppl to continue partying with after my original LoL crew gradually crumbled through the night haha

after six years of making the trip up to Toronto from buffalo countless times, I finally decided to make it to the infamous comfort zone for the first time.....all I have to say is what the f*ck was I waiting for! I guess I picked a good time because besides all the guys with there shirts off, I really didn't think it was all that sketchy. And the music was absolutely bonkers!!! Everytime i go to these events the torono DJs always end up stealing the show. Spent most of my morning on skybar with Deko-ze's set and then he completely crushed at the zone. Moving to California in three weeks and Im glad I got my one shot at being "zoned!" lol....

Zone RULES! By far the best music in TO imo. And i dont care what anyone says, u can see a dj play outside of the zone and then see them play at the zone and see two TOTALLY different styles!
