DISC 1 - This CD is dedicated to a woman named Candace who is part of the renowned Om Records family. The reason being when I first started playing out, many dancers described it as a San Francisco house sound, ironically I’ve been listening to house since I was 7 years old so my influences came from Chicago, Detroit and New York. In one aspect of me there’s a kid who had an upbringing through our dance culture, rather than figuring out my academic years and attending family dinners; I was out partying with people nearly twice my age at 21+ clubs like DV8, 177 Townsend, and Palladium while producing 18+ raves at the age of 15. It’s not a cool story at all, because it was a very emotionally painful and chaotic path to learn the ideas of love, respect, happiness, progress, balance, peace and anything else relevant to those notions. Her place in my universe is my counterpart. In order to appreciate what it is I do under the stars, I understand what needs to happen when the sun is out. To embrace hatred and any form of discomfort, I know in my heart how to love beyond limitless acceptance. It doesn’t matter how much I ever become aware of death in my surroundings, because I know there’s always a life to celebrate, especially with you Candace.. Up, down, dark, light, right wrong, full, empty you are the only person in my universe who has ever captivated my heart to learn the most important lesson in universal harmony. That is to love myself. In knowing that it’s forever my freewill to share my heart in being in love with you. Music may have started as a gift from the night I first walked out onto the dance floor, through chaos the universe balanced out in finding the present that is you. There is nothing left to resent, when there is an entire future to love and embrace. It all started with a house beat; therefore this mix will reflect its various influences through old and new tracks. Funky, soulful, jazzy, dark, tribal, latin and deep. In order for now to exist, this is how I sounded then. Thank you. I love you Candace - Alain

DISC 2 - In the present duration this mix is dedicated to our Spundae fans and everyone we always welcome onto the dance floor! Spundae is a vibe transcended through positive energy in music and dance. Over the years we have followed our hearts as a family to bring you a world class experience every time. It is a lifestyle for us to communicate everything we love about electronic dance music when creating our events. Experiencing Spundae through music, people, culture, dance, and love throughout its memories; I have captured and mixed so many different elements of sounds that reflect Spundae’s creative diversity. House, Techno, Trance, whatever it’s Spundae and this is how I do my part in creating our vibe as a resident DJ. There are other parts I very much appreciate and respect; that is all of you who share your time in dancing with me.
