My short MYSTERYLAND (15th Anniversary) Review ...
Alright!
After spending a fortune in Amsterdam I have concluded that it was all worth it just to go to MYSTERYLAND.
I have never ever in my life been to such a big outdoor event and I must say Mysteryland was one of the best parties I’ve been to in my life. 22c Sunny weather, 60,000 people, outdoors, bungee jumping, everything you can think of and most of all MUSIC!!
I was very excited as my friend from Hamburg that I met in Cancun also joined us. We weren't sure if we were going to find tickets at first, we didn't have much hope. A group of 6 Americans at the door waited and waited but left in sadness. It took us a while to find tickets and we ended up coughing up 280 Euros for 3 tickets (about 600CND), but shit I didn’t care, all I wanted to do was go in and party. It took us about 2-3 hours at the gates to find people selling tickets. The party started around 11:00am, we got in around 3:00pm. I was already drunk while looking for tickets so it was very challenging but at the same time a lot of fun.
I can’t even count the number of DJ’s we saw but to sum it up = TIESTOR and Q-BASE WAS FUCKING AMAZING!
I fell in love with TECHNO @ Mysterland!!
I was able to capture many videos but not many pictures, however videos are better than pictures
Kyau & Albert were great. Menno De Jong was amazing as usual and he played some great tunes!
The sound systems were just stupidly INSANE!! The speakers were so loud but sooo clear the BASS shook you up. Especially at the end we were probably almost 1km away from the main stage on the hill, yet the BASS was still shaking us like crazy!
I spent the rest of my day in the tent where Tiestor was playing, Chris Lake did an amazing job! He got the crowd moving. The tent was sooo packed that they stopped letting people in when Tiesto was on.
I decided not to leave because the line up was just too big to get back into that area.
After Tiestor we decided to check out the main show. I never thought I would say this in a life time but wholly fuck I fell in love with Q-Base. Crazy hard techno beats! AMAZING LASER SHOW!!! Must watch it on the video!
If you ever end up finding yourself in Amsterdam around August make sure to check out MYSTERYLAND!! But I suggest buying tickets in advance if you know that you are going to be attending, its only 60 Euros. Also another suggestion would be to go very very early so that you have enough time to see everything. We didn't have enough time to see everything it was just way tooo big...
I would honestly would love to write a longer review but lots going on in my life right now. If you have any questions ask away
Sorry the video quality is so shit, only way I could upload them all. They look and sounds amazing on my computer but I can't post them they are way too big in size...
Enjoy the Pics and Videos!
Trying to find tickets...
Excited that we made it in!

"q-base" isnt techno, its hardstyle
they had a separate festival in Airport Weeze again this year
too bad that type of music is hard to find outside Holland

HOLY LASORZ!!! wow, talk about sensory overload!!!
great Review Ozmiestor! 60k ppl does sound like a crap load of ppl.. I mean that is bigger then any festival I ever heard of. Could anyone tell me which festival is the biggest? I am assuming Gatecrasher is bigger. I am guessing the windmill was the centre stages... like how many stages and different music genres? I hope you are not totally broke like I was when i went to Miami.
Glad you had a great time!

I'm going to go ahead and say Love Fest in San Fransisco. I think that brings in around 80,000 people...

I was planning to go to that initially this year but in the end didn't pan out... too bad because I was looking forward to seeing Rush especially after finding out how anxious he was for this party!
I can't complain about the Dutch festivals at all though... well organized, good sound, impressive lineups and many of them put in the effort to have themes each year and such like Dance Valley which is quite impressive! Don't see that in North America really (understandably).
