I know very well how much it takes to look like a professional bodybuilder, it takes up to 8-10 years with proper training and nutrition, but that's not what I'm talking about.
Results can be waaaay better with proper steroid use than what that guy has achieved, gains can be a lot bigger. Of course, that often leads to undesired side effects like stretch marks etc.

Ironically how most people who take steroids fail at the very beginning, that being .. THE DIET!
Steroids are not a magical muscle builder, the muscle has to come from somewhere, there has to be a sufficient amount of calories and with that a sufficient amount of protein.
I see this at my gym all the time, guy a takes cheap roid, guy a gets big (water retention) in a month, guy a gets off juice, guy a goes back to step 0.

Exactly... Proper steroid use = knowing what you're doing.
