I agree with you. It did create a much better vibe.

Pssssh, besides Armin who loves standing on the edge of the booth giving us Jesus poses and bowing, who needs the DJ booth!?!?!?
I kid of course.
Do what you think is best!
But I definitely like the performing on stage idea!

Don't get me wrong, it's not the stage as much as it is the DJ being closer to the crowd.
I ono...I spend a lot of time looking at the DJ...and it's a lot easier to see them when they're not 15 feet above me. By all means, put them in a booth...but don't put them 15 feet above the dance floor!
This is specifically for our Trance shows...and this is just my opinion. But one of the things I always liked more about Eleven50 was the fact that the booth wasn't so elevated.

My thoughts exactly. It may sound kind of weird, but I think a lot of people, including me, spend a lot of time looking at the dj. Is that mostly only at trance shows? And it's just better to have the dj closer to the crowd. I'd like to go to one of the shows where the dj booth is pretty much in the crowd. Although, I know that wouldn't work well for some of the bigger guys.
And yeah, why exactly would any dj need to be in the booth?
I only went to 1150 once. It was my first time seeing a dj and it was Paul van Dyk. From what I remember it was still kind of high wasn't it?

It wasn't very high...about as high as the WETBar booth. The thing that probably made it seem elevated was the fact that there was a good bit of distance between the crowd and the booth, but it wasn't a matter of height -- just space/distance.
