Wow! Unemployment rates in LA Area...

Dammmmmmmmmmmm

LA County: 10.6% (some may report it as 10.1% after some adjustment)

LA City: 12%

South Bay: 14.1% - dammmnn


Damn, up north is much better.....SF is at 8%. Marin County is under 7%. San Mateo is 7.2%.

.......sheeesh, and I am moving down heren and hoping to find a job quick. Doomed....

Shit, Sorry to hear it

It's weird going to in to shops or businesses and talking to staff - a lot of employed workforce think they about to be let go at any time.

I don't think this is going to last much longer though - I reckon by the middle of 2009 it will have turned around the climb back up will begin.

There are many reasons I moved to Phoenix. This is a big one. Unemployment is lower and you need to make a bout a 3rd of what you need in LA. I paid $1600 for a one bedroom in LA. My friend who moved out here with my girl and I got a one bed that's nicer than mine was for $650. She got a job in a B of A call center making 28K and will have more than enough to be happy. Cali is a tough place to be right now.
