I don't actually care about the acapella, I know they aren't legal to make a mix with and I wouldn't even do it 'for fun' as some people say. I did do a forum search and didn't find anything. I know about the sticky, I've read it, perhaps I just phrased my original post wrong.
I was interested about the change in waveforms and the technical aspect of why they vary.

I'm sorry that you don't believe me. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the acapella part and gotten a straight forward answer right away.
I don't know who would want to make a low grade acapella, make a so-called remix and infringe on copyrights.
I thought it might be due to lossy compression, but I didn't think that it would effect the timing, even if it's only by a ridiculously small fraction.
