Nexus - Difference "PD Airwave TranceSaws" 1 and 2 presets??
Anybody here using Nexus (and Dance Vol. 1 expansion)?
There is something I don't get..
According to the presets pdf, Nexus has preset patches called "PD Airwave TranceSaws 1 and 2". I suppose these are the Rank 1 Airwave pad sound Rank 1 also used in Superstring, Such is Life, am I correct? BTW, why are there 2 presets of that same sound, how are they different?
Now, what's the different between the 2 Airwave TranceSaws presets and the supersaw pad you hear in the expansion?
Anybody would be so kind to put up a small audio demo of those 2 presets so I can hear the difference with the expansion.. I would appreciate it alot. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply but it seems that forum is only for people who already bought Nexus. I don't have it yet, therefore my question.
I thought Nexus was rather popular, so i still hope somebody here who has it can help with my above question. Thanks!

I think the question is too complicated for most as not many here actually know about synthesis, I for one don't use Nexus so I can't tell you how those sounds are different. Got a sample?

Don't know if my question was confusing, but the only thing I am asking for is if somebody who has Nexus could upload a short audio demo of the following 2 Nexus presets:
go to 0:50 in that video. Play any string melody you want, this is just a suggestion.
I hope that's enough info.

I've been meaning to post the samples you're looking for, but I just haven't found time to do it yet. But, I can tell you that the sample you posted in your original post is definitely NOT one of the two Airwave TranceSaws presets included in the factory library. I'll try to see if I can find out which preset it is from the Dance Vol. I expansion after work later this evening and hopefully find time (and remember) to post some samples.

I'm really curious, why are you so desperate to hear these two samples?
I don't think I'm understanding the point of this thread..

basically i think he wants to sound the same as airwave.
so when he makes a saw sound people will say it sounds like airwave.

lol at this thread. Are you thinking about buying nexus or the expander based on those sounds? If you want those sounds just get a jp-8080. You can get one for the same price as some soft synths if you look around.
On another note. IMO Nexus is good for getting melody ideas down quickly but the sounds themselves are bad. Really grainy and absolutely covered in reverb and delay. As soon as you take the effects off it sounds shockingly bad. It sounds as if they have only multisampled 3 or 4 notes per octave. Sorry for the rant.
