Union Jack - Two Full Moons & A Trout (Orkidea remix) | Platipus
I've been looking forward for this for quiet some time. I've heard the first "draft" last year, so I already kind of knew what to expect, but now hearing the finished mix I still gotta say I'm stunned by it. Though it can be seen more as a remix of the Caspar Pound mix, like Orkidea said before, I still think he's done a very good job in making the track sound fresh, adding small elements to it that complements the track so well, but at the same time still keeping that "old school" vibe.
If I am the storm, if I am the wonder..
Will I have flashlights, nightmares and sudden explosions?

I think it's decent. For being a remix of the Caspar Pound remix it sure lacks the best part of that remix; the end climaxe. That is what makes Caspar Pound remix so freaking amazing. The tune just builds and builds and that long break and then BANG!

Really a rather bad remix. Orkidea has sadly lost it. Is Nicklas Renqvist not producing with him anymore? This is just generic "trance" unlike his past productions which were really something quite special.

that's a bit harsh don't you think? i mean i love the old tracks produced with nicklas as much anyone, but these new ones are extremly good aswell. imo after a few more regular uplifters (beautiful, melancholy, revolution, the calling remix and such) orkidea's new productions just by himself finally start to have that same oldschool magic that the old ones had. and i think this track for instance really stands out among all the other uplifters out there.
