Hello everyone, this is my first post on here but I've been lurking and reading your threads for a while now. I have a simple question though. Is your love for EDM shunned or do the people you are around like it as much as you do? I find it hard to meet people in Texas who love, or even like this great style of music as much as I do. I mean, there is the occasional fanboy who thinks Tiesto's ISOS series are all Tiesto songs, or the girl who listens to the mainstream crap like Cascada, or the guy who thinks Basshunter is quality Trance. So, what do you do when you feel like the only one in the state who has a love for this music?

You've gotta be nearing the age you move away from the rents and go to college. Its much easier to find like-minded people at college and over the years you tend to surround yourself with those people. Give it time and once you can legally drink (dono if you can) go to clubs where good DJs play, since the people there will obviously also dig the music.

Wow, you're good I just turned 20 a few weeks ago, and I'm on my 2nd year of College. How'd you figure that out?
And I've been trying to introduce this music to many people that I've met, from Trance to Progressive House, but no one seems to get into it or enjoy it at all. Kids my age need to put down the Kanye West and Metallica and see what they're missing!

I grew up in Texas, and personally I never found very many people who were into electronic music, apart from a few good friends I made in high school. In college most people I met seemed to be into either indie rock or just mainstream radio stuff.
