Anyone know anything about the price of old vinyl records?
I found my dad's old record collection and he said I could sell it off. Got some decently priced albums (accord to the asking prices on Ebay) but there is one I can't seem to find anywhere: 'Peter and Gordon sing and play the hits of Nashville, TN'. I've looked all over the web and the Japan release (with the white label) is very rare and worth a bit, but I have the US release with the rainbow label. Anyone have any idea how I can find out how much this is worth?

Post it up at Discogs, they might have more insight.

Thanks guys!
What do you do if Discogs doesn't have an answer, though?

Contact the record company or Submit your record with all of the information to discogs
or ask your dad what he thinks?
If you could give more information on the records instead of what you gave we could probably dig it up; along with pictures of the inner circle of the vinyl.

Dad is gone for the next three weeks. I'll take pictures when I get home, I gotta head into work. I just found another one I can't seem to get a price for: ZZ Top's first annual texas size rompin' stompin' barndance and bar b.q.
Original press. Hmmmm.

Why don't you put it up on eBay for some ridiculous price and just keep lowering the price until you get some hits. Let the market decide

I know one thing.
the price of digital is about right. .99c for a WAV sounds fair. Shit, you can get 2 loafs and bread, a slice of cheese and meat slapped together by some high school drop out for .99c. You get what you pay for.
But vinyl, it's priceless. The currency that goes into transaction in the sale of vinyl, it's not for the physical product or the audio information - it's the thrill, the exhilaration, the orgasm through audition as pure and uncompressed music slides its vibrations into the canal of the ear, a stimulation unsurpassed even by the tongue of Angelina Jolie on the tit of Pegasus.
I setup my turntables on thursday morning.
