Anyway to adjust size of a vst? Massive is too big for mine..

It cuts off the noise, feedback, insert and macro control parameters on the bottom.
I've always loved massive but never got into it because of this. And when I searched a few weeks ago I never found a solution, and today I still can't find a solution for it.

Weird thing is like 2 year ago when I was first running the demo on my laptop it did fit and the screen on that laptop was no bigger then the screen on my desktop (17"). I really would love to solve this problem I can't believe this is something NI didn't take into consideration.. unless I'm missing something really stupid?

What is your screen resolution? Massive should appear just fine in a resolution of 1280 x 1024.

I'll agree that it would be nice to be able to resize a Software Instrument. I have a terrible time using Arturia Jupiter 8V because the controls are so small.

Its 1280 X 768.

I'm in my graphic properties right now randomly changing things then going back into FL to check and nothing has worked yet. It has to be possible though cause I've had it work fine on the same screen size just a different computer..

That may be the maximum resolution of your graphics card, your screen or both. It shouldn't be necessary to "randomly" change things. In Windows the screen resolution slider in the Display properties is where you set your screen resolution. If you can't put it any higher then you are maxed out.

You can try to check for updated drivers on the manufacturers web site. If there are none, or the updated drivers do not allow a higher resolution, then you may be stuck at that resolution. At that point you'll need to investigate upgrading either your graphics card or your screen. 768 is a pretty small vertical resolution, so if the updated drivers do not help, then I would look at the graphics card first, specially if your monitor if fairly new (last 3 years).

A 17" LCD doesn't run the same resolution as your laptop. 17" 4:3 LCD is 1280x1024, not 1280x768.

It'll be interesting to see the changes in virtual synth GUIs when touchscreen monitors become the norm and you can actually reach out and adjust the knobs/ faders!

That would definitely be cool, but we'd still be missing the tactile feedback of a real interface.

I suppose there is nothing preventing one from using a dedicated touchscreen monitor now, I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it.

I have a few production related apps on my iPhone, and I find it a bit unwieldy to do things like turn knobs in the iPhone. Maybe it'd be easier on a bigger screen.

There are a few plugin designers making resizable GUIs (e.g., Melodyne Editor) and/or with the option to choose one of several sizes (e.g., Zebra2). Even some of the the Native Instruments plugins are resizable (Kontakt 4) and the Maschine GUI allows you to choose to display one of several sizes (small, medium, large), so it's not outside the realm of possibility that we could see that option in a future Massive update. Might be worth making it a feature request on the NI forums.

Yep thats because of the stupid bars on top that display everything in Fl, they don't allow you to drag massive up any further. Its pisses me off cause theres like 2 inches of space not being used above massive, and all I need is like 1/2 inch to see the bottom parameters, but at this point I can care less cause I got a virus on the way so eff it..

I had no idea what you were talking about but thats the stupidest option to have in the world.
For anyone who doesn't know what hes talking about if you click on "detach" in FL Wrapper is allows you to move the vst above the bars on top.

Why not just ALWAYS have this option on by default? Makes no sense to lock it as what purpose does it serve? To keep the displays free? Well if you keep it on float all the time by default at least the user can make the decision themself.
And I'm also not sure why you would know this UNLESS you already went through it with massive. Theres not another synth I've ever needed to move so obviously I wouldn't have known up untill this point.. just saying there was no reason for me to have known till now.

And thanks.
