Lets Talk About Radio Slave

i know he isnt trance and all.

but if you check out this guys tracks

in some of his more well known tracks ( i know he has really great ones where he uses alot of instruments)

but in his more techno stuff he literally uses a kick some percussions a really nice bass line and some white noise

thats it

maybe hads a stab here and there...

and he somehow managaes to make the entire 10 minutes not boring even has me replaying his tracks. now mind you on normal computers speakers it does sound really boring (sounds like its just a beat with nothing ontop even my friends have said this)

but when you hear it on a good system it comes to life.

i think its all about the mastering skills he has but what do you guys think?

and for idea anyone have any insight on his production techniques?

I thought his remix he did for DJ Hell - The DJ was awesome. Yeah it's 30mins long but something seems to be happening the whole time.

The Original to 'Grindhouse' is just like you explained, there's not alot going on but he keeps it fresh.

I love his stuff!

Mostly miss for me. In reply to the OP, "boring" is exactly the word I'd use to describe most of his productions. But I suppose it's all relative isn't it... there's always an audience.

No. Where do people pick these ideas up, honestly?

I wish I knew. Some friend of a friend posted that pic on Facebook. Google turned up nothing, but let me know if you find it.

yeah i remember reading somewhere that he was called ketamine dj or something along those lines, so thats pretty much is his audience

he has done some very nice stuff though

Booka Shade - Sweet lies (Radio Slave Remix) comes to mind
