Thumbs down Can good remixes save a worthless track ?

I've noticed that there are many choons that are really shite but have very good remixes. The track which came up to my mind in this moment is Active X - Let's Go. PVD's TPOD mix is a tune, but I was curious about the original mix, so I've downloaded it and checked it out. It sucked big time. Same with Iio - Rapture. I know it has been discussed a lot before, but for me it was like I've heard the track for the first time in PVD's Knebworth set and omg what a tune! It was the Deep Dish remix. Later I 've heard Riva and AvB rmxes and they were mint. But when I noticed the original mix in the radio it was a horrible crap. So now when I'm in my local club (they usually play dance there) and when the Dj plays it, I quit the dancefloor immediately. I hate the track. But the remixes are still cool.

So what do you think - can good remixes save a worthless track ?

i always hated fragma, until swamper put up this last year

fragma - say that you're here (hennes & cold rmx)
this is the only hennes & cold production that has ever impressed me!

and another one:

Barcode Brothers & DJ Alan S - It's A Fine Day (ATB Remix)

so ATB saved this one...doesn't surprise me, some of the ATB tunes always makes you dream
