The way it works is like this, DJ 1 does his 20 minute set on his turntables and records it, how u record it is up to you but the final result must be a 192kbps MP3 file that u then send onto the next DJ.
Dj1 sends to Dj2
Dj2 sends to Dj3
Dj3 sends to Dj4
Each Dj adds on to that MP3 so at the end u will have a 80 minute 192kbps MP3 file.
This is how i added my part of the mix to the 1st TA Hotmix.( i was Dj 4 in the last hotmix)
Dj Dawn sent me the 60 minute Mp3 that had Antiphus's, Tempe's and Dj Dawn's sets on.
So i connected the audio output from my PC to the middle channel of my mixer, the record outputs on my mixer to my Audio CD burner.
so recording on the Audio CDr i played the 60 min MP3 from my PC and at about the 55 min mark i cued up my 1st vinyl, getting it beat matched ready to mix as normal on the mixer and from my 1st track carried on as normal between my decks ending up with a 80 minute Audio CDr which i then re ripped to MP3.
u could do it several ways, like burning to CD however much u get of the mix, playing it thru a normal CD player hooked up to your mixer, mixing in your vinyl and recording on the PC with total recorder.
Like i said there are several ways of doing it.
