I used to play the first L4D daily but a bunch of my friends quit it and never picked up L4D2, so I'm looking to actually start playing it

in grad school at the moment so I don't play as much anymore, but I still haven't tried out the new campaign. After the upcoming weekend I will be done with this semester and have a week off for me to enjoy!

Neh, the first one was a huge disappointment - I don't get into online shooters much at all in the first place, much less ones that keep you on the same handful of hampster wheels.
I'm sure the sequel is better in every way, but I couldn't shake the feeling I'd dropped $40 on a well-made Half-Life 2 mod than anything else.
Besides, I've resigned to playing as many single-player games as I can before the advent of SC2 and eventually Diablo 3. It'll be a semi-social overload!

What are you talking about? Quake was never cross-platform.
I spent a day at a LAN a few months ago playing L4D2. If I never play it again, it’ll be too soon.
