I Survived Eclipse Festival 2010 (Quebec)
This was my first Eclipse Festival and I was extremely impressed! I couldn't believe that only 1.5 hours outside the boring city of Ottawa, there was such an event! If you didn't attend this year, take a look at this video before you judge it. And if you were there, take a look. You might be in it!

Also I noticed you work for the Canadian Forces so depending on if your an Officer or an NCM (non-Commissioned Member) and your now in Kingston by the looks of it so your no longer on your basic training where you get paid peanuts. So like I said depending on if your an NCM or Officer and your rank, you probably make at least $50,000 a year but most likely more. And depending on if you live at CFB Kingston your cost of living is probably very low as well, but even if you weren't cost of living in Kingston isn't that bad. Its only $30 which is cheaper than most nights at Stereo. Most of us on here who post about Stereo have put out probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars clubbing there just this year alone, and have never really complained for the most part. I know I sure as hell have.

couldn't attend either and to be honest I always had prejudice against the event for its hippie nature. Plus I hate camping and psy-trance is not my cup of tea.
That being said, I have a lot of friends who go to this every year and love it. They are not hippies. They tell me that the music has changed it is no longer just psy-trance etc etc. They all agreed that this year (10th anniversary) was amazing.
Maybe one year I will check it out for one day and come back home after..to get a small taste of the experience!

I always mean to catch this and end up missing it every year. Looks like the closest thing to the multi-day raves of the 90's that I wish still existed. The vibe in the crowd is what really appeals to me, not so much the psy-trance, but I have heard that it is opening up to other styles. Next year, next year.

Once I took a piss in front of everybody at Stereo. Put the garbage under the mixer, and did it right there while people were dancing and screaming. people thought I was playing with the mixer but I was playing with my zizi.
