these djs you named may have had a lousy performance but i think thats not enough to say they "cant cut it". surely we all have heard their sets whether live or on an mp3 from the net and most of them kick ass.
but maybe youre right and they have become complacent not caring what the crowd will think of them as theyre already great names on the scene |
For me Fergie is consistently dire. He was brilliant when I saw him at Godskitchen opening party, Amnesia, last year. I have saw him 5 times since and he has been pathetic each time!
I used to defend Judge Jules as others slagged him but the past half dozen times I have saw him now he has been rubbish, I grudge paying £20-£30 to get into a club to hear a DJ who I believe is not as good as myself lining his pockets with my cash. Call me big headed if you want but I firmly believe that Judge Jules lacks technical ability when he is mixing.
John Kelly just plays the most cheesiest ned-fest tunes out, every set. I witnessed his dire set twice whilst in Ibiza, both times he played the same tunes in the same order. That shows me that he is also lacking in skill!
I have no doubt that they were once good DJ's but, especially the latter of the 2, perhaps its time for them to take a look at themselves and ask if they can do it anymore!
