Gonna throw a rack of pork ribs into the over for a few hours, was wondering if anyone is willing to make aq case for either dry rub or baste. And if so, would you have recommendations as to what I should use to create one of the two?

ya'll are useless.
Anyway, decided to go with the dry rub. In the oven now at 250 for the next 2-3 hours. We'll see how it goes...

You had it in your head correctly, but I will not deny myself some of the culinary world's greatest pleasures as a result of that.

indeed. It's only a recent discovery on my part but I do love em. Gotta make my way down to the southern United States once and savor some real BBQ.

if i were to throw them in the oven, i would've basted them in bbq. that's what my mom does with them at least. they fucking slide right off the bone, so goddamned good.
probably my fav bbq sauce at the moment is famous dave's devil's spit bbq sauce. i'm getting kinda sick of the overly sweet bbq sauces, just about all of them are too sweet for me. devil's spit is spicy, smokey, and tangy. goes great on everything.
