With al the posts about trance being dead and Tiesto's change of style etc. I was very pleased to get an email saying that Oakenfold's immortal Goa Mix has been released, 17 years later since its original airing on radio 1!
It has been updated a bit but the majority of it is still there as it was. So for those who haven't heard it, I cannot recommend this enough. If you think you have heard a good DJ mix then think again!
This is NOT one of those standard mix a few good tunes back to back mixes, this is creativity that no other DJ has done since or before (as far as I know!). So all those Armin, PVD, Tiesto fans etc. get on this and have your eyes opened to real trance music and creativity that most Djs can only dream about....Yes...it is that good!

Just go to Amazon or Play.com or something, they are selling it for £8.95.
It's on beatport too, you can buy the individual tracks or the mix.
New State Music have released it.
i thought you meant for free

For free?? Can't you just downlaod from the internet or go to you tube. There are plenty places to download it and have been for years! But this is an official release so it will sound alot better and the track listing will actually be correct for once!

That tracklist looks... odd
The infinity project, vangelis and astrix all in one compilation?
Why is that odd? This is the point of this mix! There's no boundaries, no you have to do this or have to do that...apparently this mix took months to do, lots of trial and error, seeing what worked and what didn't.
There are a few tracks on this release that weren't on the original such as Astrix. The Vangelis tracks from Bladerunner are amazing. Just listen to it and tell me if you think its odd.

There are a few additions yes, but I think its only 6 out of a 38 track list and a couple of them are very short outros.
