Deep progressive soundscapes?
I've been listening to this on repeat for years, and I would kill for a track that has such an immense, deep, profound soundscape:
Of course the YouTube version doesn't do it justice. Let's just say it's the opposite of cheese
What other songs fit the description?
[Edit: one thing I should mention is that there's something about the mood that really grabs me. It's not happy / funky / jazzy (blech) / angry. It seems to have some sort of pure intensity that I really like.]

awesome stuff, thanks for posting!
it's hard to find this kind of sounds nowadays, maybe try some releases from Iboga, Tribal Vision, Iono Music, Joof Recordings or Harmonia Records... I will think more about it in a free while

"It's all gone Pete Tong" is actually a phrase in Europe, England I believe. Pretty sure that's where Pete Tong got his DJ name from as well.

I don't really see what's so "profound" about that soundscape, but something like this?
EDIT: This track is either mislabelled on the compilation or Jirah did two remixes, because this wasn't the mix I was thinking of. It's even better!
EDIT 2: Actually, it's because the daft bastard who uploaded them to Youtube got these names back to front:

Another quality track, to bad I don't Dj anymore. I got into the scene a little late, got into the music at the clubs in 98 but didn't start bedroom Djing till like 2002. So if I didn't own the vinyl some of the tracks I heard at the clubs before Djing I would have forgotten about. What a shame.

That's a new-ish track. From 2009 or 2010. I'm just thinking of atmospheric, spacey progressive psy-trance that isn't one of the obvious names, and Jirah stands out to me.
And this is obvious and much more progressive than psy, but you really can't beat Michael & Levan when it comes to this kind of thing:
First one is actually their remix of Alex Rize. Fucking useless Youtube uploaders.
