I've been getting spam by this company for a couple of days now..and they just won't stop!!!

I've asked them to remove me a couple of times...I've even sent them a very professional email stating they made me victim of abuse and that i will never consider to buy their products....

And I just received another email!!

This is what it says, on the bottom, after the advertisement:

I went to www.oin.com whih is (ofcourse ) an advertisement site.
I've also sent complaints to the companies that have been advertised in the emails.

IT JUST DOESN'T HELP!!!


Can anyone tell me what to do? Can I send a virus?

heh...try 'n get in touch with ur isp & maybe they can block it

...or better get *their* isp to stop sending the spam...i think u can find their mail server in the email source code or something

hehe...send them a virus...sounds like fun...tho dunno if it'll do much, but worht a try if u're really p/o'ed at them

Oh, and sending them a profesional letter is nice, but a waste of time. No one will read the letter, they have people who write, and keep the system running corectly, it'll just ignore the message. This is true of all mailing lists, you need to follow specific instructions to get removed, and 90% of the time it works too. Besides its not worth the time/effort to send them a virus in an e-mail that wont ever be opened, or mail there isp.

@ hotmail, u can block the ending bit of any email e.g block all email addresses ending with @hotmail.com
anyone sending email thru hotmail wont get to u

yahoo filters out about 90% of all spam mail (which is like 10 messages a day for me), but still 1 or 2 make it to the inbox... god i hate those "who wants a bigger penis" e-mails... who wants a bigger brain???

the interesting part is that most of these emails are not *spam*, as they claim. at the bottom, where it gives you an address to unsubscribe, it sometimes says that if you have an option to unsubscribe - it's not spam... of course, those companies sell and resell your address to dozens of others, so unsubscribing doesn't help at all.

you can try to set up a filter that filters out emails with certain words (like sex, credit, unsubscribe, unsolicited, spam, etc. - those are pretty commmon).

I never even bother to try and remove myself from spam lists, a lot of times attempting a remove will encourage them even more, as it indicates that your address is still active.

The best way I've found to not get spam is to only give out your actual e-mail address to friends, and then set up a secondary account with a party like Yahoo or Hotmail that you use for signing up for web sites, ordering things, etc, etc, etc.

If you're currently buried in spam at your primary address the best advice I can give is to talk to your ISP and change your e-mail address so you can start over again. Once your e-mail is on the lists you'll never be free of spam again...
