Sorta, but Kore doesn't/didn't end there. If you have the full versions of the NI synths that are represented by Kore's internal engines, you'd have full control over the sounds using the hardware. Kore also works as a sub-host, effect unit, preset chainer, librarian for NI and third party plugins, MIDI controller, sequencer, etc. It's a great concept, but I think a lot of people just didn't "get" it and NI didn't do a very good job of marketing its capabilities, as evidenced by all the "wtf is Kore?" threads scattered about the web.
