I say "Gesundheit". How did this come into play? I heard that it means "God Bless You" in German (Deutsch) but, is this really true? Plus, what made it the preferred foreign-to-the-English-language response?

In hebrew it's pronounced as "la-bri-ut"

Its yiddish I think. Personally I say dont sneeze on me! People seem to have a strong urge to sneeze on me :O
