Rodri Santos - Oktober [Techno/Deep/Progressive/Minimal]

I rarely make a mix of this kind but eventually found some tunes i liked a lot like Tom Glass - Naive and decided to put a mix of this stuff for a change. It's a mix of some vocal hits and melodic tracks should not be too obscure

1.- Fritz Kalkbrenner - Facing the Sun (Original Mix)
2.- Minilogue - Leopard (Extrawelt Remix)
3.- Underset feat. Lifa - Moon Rover (Original Mix)
4.- Paul Kalkbrenner - Madworld (Cover)
5.- Kangkarussell - Sonnentanz (Original Mix)
6.- Massive Attack - Paradise Circus (Gui Boratto Remix)
7.- Finnebassen - Touching Me (Original Mix)
8.- Trentemøller - Moan (Trentemøller Remix)
9.- Zonderling - Sonderling (Original Mix)
10.- Kangkarussell - Netzwerk (Original Mix)
11.- Tom Glass - Naive (Original Mix)
12.- Kolletiv Turmstrasse - Freiflug (Original Mix)
13.- PRT Sacho & Underset feat. Ange - Empty World (Original Mix)
14.- Maetrik - Paradigm (Original Mix)
15.- Fritz Kalkbrenner - WES (Original Mix)
16.- Way out West - Killa (12" Mix)
17.- Noir - Africanism (Original Mix)
18.- Gui Boratto - Beautiful Life (Original Mix)

You have a great track selection, however the transitions need some work. The transition between song 1 and 2 sounded like you were attempting a fade dump, or came up short on the transition and tried to cover it with a dump. I would mess with the track order a bit. It sounds a little to all over the place. Watch your levels too. Too many beats jumping out.

Thx i've checked it to recognize the issues you pointed. First track is 100bpm 2nd track is 122bpm i simply used the crossfader and an effect the result wasn't that good tho. I made this like a club set and this can be the problem i tend to fit as much tracks as possible and include several styles, this can work in a club but i see is not what people usually do listening to other people sets.

This was my first mix on this style will look for this.

Rodri Santos, I know how it feels to be criticized for mixing. I'll check out.

no it's true. First transition it's not what i'd consider a transition as tracks are too diverse but well the rest transitions come in too hard. If you want to listen something good check the november mix on my signature that should be fine. Thanks anyway i appreciate constructive criticism, things on this thread were constructive, were derailed outside.

All I'm going to say is that anybody who says they've never botched a transition is lying.

lol i'd rather promote something i'm proud of but i get what you mean. You guys just focused on the first "transition" i know how to beatmatch, you can overhear the next track at points but thats because i wasn't mixing with proper speakers and i am used to mix cluttered music where if i leave the fader up with eqs down you just here a little fuzzle to introduce the track.

Anyway if i don't know how to mix i'll simply keep practicing there are several things i don't know yet, if people close to me and trustworthy ones think i am on a good route i'll stick to that, some harsh criticism won't hurt but remember me there's room for improvement.
