Any trance dj's out there that use 6 turntables like this?

I had the idea to have 3 computers linked up with 2 2 channel mixers, one 4 channel mixer 6 turntables and 6 X1 effects units or something similar to that. It sounds way over board but each computer with 2 turntables can be used play a track in stereo mixing mode like this first pic. With auto synk on one table each computer could be switched over to have 1 table control an effect instead or it can be used for stereo phasing. Auto synk for track wont be an option unless you just go easy and use the middle computer. and I have a couple other ideas, like I would love for traktor to use 3d, so the wav form and other stuff is just kinda floating in the air while you mix. They mine as-well be touch screens in-case you want to touch the screen :P

this second screen shot is a cheesy sketch I draw of my plan. I was wondering if anyone has ever done this? its all about freedom with hardwhare, so I would want to choose more. Maybe someday. Only need about 8-16k :P

another idea I had was to have a thing on my head that can read different brain waves, I've seen people walk around in games with one. So it might be neat to map it to a few things. Kinda of like a third arm or fingure :P

how many laptops on stage is inversely related to how good a party is and how much trim there will be.

Your idea is retarded if you must know. Not just because it is trance, an genre that doesn't really lend itself well to piling on tracks. But ya, adding 200 layers of shakers isn't going to make things better.

I still don't get why djs don't use an lcd screen, vertical at a 30 degree slope with the computer out of sight. The site of a laptop is never cool.

Amazing how they can possess so much kit and still make such plodding, monotonous music.

You don't need 6 turntables to sound good.

to bad its the only good techno out there. if you think its monotonous then thats you. to me theres changes in details all the fucking time when it comes to speedy j sets. little things happens all the time and it progress steadily for up to 8 hours straight without ever getting boring, and near the end its so mad you almost explode (you cant jump in at 7:55 and expect to understand what i talk about). no one else can keep my attention for 8 hours.

This immediately disqualifies you from further opinion on the subject.

Changes in detail are pretty easy when your sets are primarily composed of percussion, high-end washes and effects. If I want hours of percussion with lots of interesting, subtle (and not-so-subtle) changes, I can listen to Max Roach.

that is just fucking stupid. really fucking stupid.

In fact I'd say the two of them are MASSIVELY overrated at the moment. So much better stuff out there it's not even funny.
