Leave the mastering chain process alone....

Sorry, if i get a little angry on this kind of subject, but you must understand what mastering is, or, how mastering process can destroy your track.
if you want to process your channel; add a compressor, add an effect, adjust your level, then your mix.
If the mix is good; the mastering will be easy & clean.
Not adding channels after channels, thinking the mastering is the solution.....
Mastering is my daytime work, and i hope I'm not irritating anyone with my comment (until your name is on top 10 )
i just feel sad to see so many good production ruined and wasted by a bad Mix.

Would agree here. Multiband in the wrong hands kills the mix
If you think your mix needs "something" fix the mix......

split your signal into three, add HPF on one, BPF one one and LPF on one, then add compressors and sum. there you go. any daw has it.
