Any Long Time TA'ers Who Used To Post In Producer Section Who Don't Anymore?
It seems like I rarely see longer term members posting productions in the producer section. I have only been on the site a few years and was curious if some of the more senior members (who seem to hang out mostly in the main forums) of TA actively tried to make their own tracks. Most of the regulars in the production section that post projects seem to be from the past 5-6 years or so.
If so, I would be interested to hear some of the longer term members old productions from eras of EDM gone by.

i didn't start posting in here till like 2 years ago. Not sure why I ventured from the production forum. I think i was trying to find a gay lover. And then people really got annoyed and i've just felt right posting here ever since.

Have you heard any of Mr. Mystery's and that other guy's productions? "Glaciation" was their name if I recall correctly. They're the only ones I can think of right now.

the producers section has gotten pretty redundant over the years, like there is yet another SSD thread over there even though that subject has been beaten to death over and over again.. new people come in and ask the same old questions, theres a new crop of the same threads like annually
as far as posting in the music producers promotion forum I think most of the regulars are beyond the point of needing to do that

trance is a dead genre. This whole website is anachronistic. Well the production forum at least. But its good fun. KVR is the best allround forum for actual discussions and learning shit.
back in the day it was all about Haak and Al Azar in the production forum hehe...

Moan, moan, moan.
After a while you see it goes in cycles. 3 years ago the production forum was apparently dying, only to resurrect a year later and actually right now it's fairly busy. Sure, not quite early 2000's level but then again I think a lot of people don't find the site because it says Trance Addict, rather than EDM addict.
I'm not even in to trance (well not anything after 2000/2001) and the production forum has always catered to other forms of music.
It will ebb and flow. People will re-appear (as has been happening recently with the like of Echosystem and a few other old regs - even Dave dropped out for a good half year) and some will drop off for good.
There's a good number of people with a decade+ under their belt posting in the production forum right now. A lot of people in the busier periods of that sub forum only stayed for a year or so, never to return.
In all honestly there are very few online forums which have as many long term members as TA, who post on a regular basis.
I think people just need to stop analysing.

I started coming back on TA a few weeks ago, after about 4 years. I doubt anyone here gives a shit about trance anymore. I actually find the music pretty irritating now. I'm only here for luls and nostalgia.
It's great to see the redesign finally happened though!

i think one of the reason's why a lot of people have chosen to stay in these parts is because its a small but vibrant community with a few regulars that have a lot of knowledge such as yourself (when you're not trolling) as opposed to the bulkiness of some of the other sites that are more active, but also have a lot more noobs.

i've just noticed that people tend to be much more enthusiastic about learning and sharing in other forums. But i think it is because they are talking about things that are new and novel. I mean in terms of production and trance, nothing new apart from techniques taken from other genres which are discussed in said genre forums.
I do like cryos updates of things that might be cool to buy. And it is just a bad habit. I'm never trolling. I'm just looking for a compliment but then i realize you guys don't see my outfit so i cool down eventually.
But ya, i mean you won't find any EDM forum that has anyone that knows as much about music theory and harmony and all that shit than here but it is 99.9% non applicable to dance music, DJ Rann has dirt of so many celebrities. People just ask questions that have been answered or just so fucking simple.
