Very nice set. I rather liked the arrangement, especially the last track -- there is no better place for it than the end. It also flowed nicely as well.

If you have the ability on your mixer to do so (or something external, for that matter), it might sound better to apply some sort of effect to the very end of the last song in the last 10 or 5 seconds...or perhaps cutting the power on the turntable as the guy is saying his last "put you to sleep". Just something so that it isn't just faded and cut off.

This may be a bit difficult and too elaborate, but if you had some kind of echo effect with a fair amount of delay on that voice right as you cut power to the turntable, that might create something rather interesting. It would probably sound alright without cutting off the turntable. Of course to pull it off with those beats still going in there you'd have to slowly pull the volume down on it before it hits the end (while keeping the effect volume the same while you take down the channel volume, and then taking down the effect volume).. just as it hits the end of the guy saying "sleep".

I dunno...that could sound stupid - manually graphing trigonometric functions at 2:06 AM will do that to you. I just think something should be done with the end. I realize that still having those beats in there as it dies down makes it a bit more difficult, but just play with it and see what you come up with.

Very nice on the whole, though.

I'd have to hear the last 30 seconds of the Deep Sky track (unmixed) to give my full opinion. Hmm...I should get that off DC.

Basically, I'd say if the beat dies down before the end of the song, try it out and see what happens. But if you do stick it at the end, I would definitely fade it out of that Solid Sleep track. Not only that, I would actually slow down the Solid Sleep track very subtly (perhaps during the break down or just do it gradually throughout) so that the Deep Sky track wont sound so fast at the end of the set, because I think it might sort of kill the mood that those vocals in the Solid Sleep track kind of establish - that the set itself is beginning to wind down. If you do that, make sure you're good with beat matching so you can beatmatch the Deep Sky track within about 30 to 60 seconds or so to have it cued up in time. Based on what I heard it doesnt sound like you have any problems whatsoever with beat matching.

On the other hand, if the beat in the Deep Sky track doesn't die down and leave a melody or something behind for a bit, or if its still too strong at the end, I'd just leave it where it is.. since it didnt sound like you really wanted your last track to necessarily shake the walls.

Thats just my two cents.
