Smiley DJ Trance for non-trancers: the results

I asked for some help a week ago because some friends wanted me to mix a trance CD, remember? I was a bit worried because I didn't know what to mix ("should I drop commercial tunes?", "Should I mix something harder?").

Well, the party was yesterday and we put the CD when the dancefloor was empty (it was an attempt to make people dance again). The first tune was rapture, then Southern Sun (Tiësto mix). People though that it was actually dance and asked for more tranzy tunes. I played Gouryella - Tenshi, Ayu - M (Above and Beyond Typhoon mix) and Dumonde - Never Look Back, however, it didn't work.

Nobody was in the dance floor and they just stopped the CD during Dumonde's tune.

At least I tried Just felt like sharing with you, since many people were curious about what would happen

If I had played "Can you dig it?" there would have been a revolution. Angry old Ladies attacking the sound system, little girls shocked covering their ears and stuff like that

I agree 110% with Dumonde Tracer. Some people are born with a horrible, commercial taste for music.

good shot man. not everyone can be brought over. but if the dance floor was empty it could have also been that they were too all too afraid to make the first move
