Question Gabriel & Dresden 2005-2007 TA Hate... Why?

I was at this fancy bar the other night and I heard two 10ish year old tracks by Gabriel & Dresden spinning on deck. They sounded pretty damn good to me! Maybe it was just nostalgia but I don't know. It made me wonder why there was so much hate towards them back then?

I think the tracks were:

there wasn't really that much hate for them here. they made some good tracks. dave got shat on here for his terrible dj'ing and the fact that he contributed close to nil production wise. he then had a meltdown of proportions. at least that's how I remember it.

I remember someone posting a screenshot of Dave's myspace page that had a screenshot of a TA thread that was ragging on him. I think he used to be an active TA member before all that.

Yeah, G&D actually went down rather well around here, particularly down in the NorCal/Bay Area forum, which is where they're from. The only time I think they received any flack was when they really tried to 'indie' out their variety of trance by fusing some of the trends in indie rock at the time. But most if not all of the heat was directed at Dave Dresden, who apparently just couldn't help but make a spectacle of himself.

I think they eventually both realized they needed each other in order to be successful; Josh Gabriel amounted to an anonymous face with zero marquee value, and Dave Dresden's various side projects amounted to virtually nothing.
