I used to have this nifty program that when I right clicked on a file, I had the option of "change type" and then a small small dialogue box came up with the current type (rar) or (zip) and I could change it to whatever I wanted... (mp3) (avi) etc
it was free ware.. and if my memory serves me it was called 'change type'
and info on this program or similar?? I got a new computer and NEEd that feature back

Inatrance, if you just want to rename the xxx on "file.xxx", you can do it using windows, you know?
1) Here's how to do it: go to internet explorer and click "show" (damn... I'm using the Portuguese version and I'm not sure this is the right word... is the one between "edit" and "go").
2) Choose folder options
3) There'll be three options: General, file types and another one. This one which I don't know the name in English is the one you've got to choose
4) Check the box that says "show extensions for known file types (or something like that).
Done, now you won't have problems to change it

You could get Properties Plus.
Does the same things as ChangeType and a lot more.

Dude... that's feckin' pointless. It's like having a program for copying files, another one for moving files, a third one for creating folders... and so on.
Read Maaz's post again.

Yeah but people cant be arsed to fuck about typing stuff in command consoles and shit, the programs are made for the simplicity. Few clicks saves typing out commands and forgeting stuff.
Sorry lol. I dont wanna cause a argument. Just think people should know the dos days have gone
