I had never gone more than a week without shaving until now. It's been a month, and I'm finally starting to develop some beard-ish action.

Has anyone here ever grown a beard before? Thoughts?

Years ago when I was backpacking, I'd sometimes go a week or so without shaving, but never much longer than that. I have really thick facial hair, and to be honest I really hate the itchy feeling of it. Even after 3 days it starts to piss me off, so I'm just not a beard kind of guy.

Had a beard for about five years now. I like it.

I live in Canada. Playoff beards are kinda' a thing here, though I sadly haven't had a chance to grow a boss beard in a while now.

Had stubble/short beard since a fateful day in April 2008 when I couldn't be bothered shaving and everyone told me how good it looked. It's become unbearably trendy to grow massive silly lumberjack beards (see: DiCaprio) but I will weather the storm.
