I need a mixer...what do you recomend?

well i'm just getting into all this, and i need a mixer now. i dont want a cheap $50 one, but i also dont wanna spend $500 on one either. i plan on mixing house, trance, etc. but i also wanna scratch some hip-hop. what would be a decent mixer to get for what i want to do? Someone told me the Gemini UMX-7 is actually a good mixer, is it? how is the Numark EM-260? what are some other good ones? TIA

I have read 98% positive reviews for the Behringer VMX series mixers. I think it is a good choice. The VMX200 is a good choice if you don't think you'll used all 3 channels.

This is all you need believe me. Keep away from BPM counters, you'll learn nothing fast cos you'll just hammer them.

I have heard bad things about the stanton RMS3.

I say get a vestax PCV275 instead, basically the same features, it will last longer, and sound better.
