Question The Japanese Symbol For Trance...?

Does anyone know if there is a Japanese Symbol for the word "trance"?

Thanks.

Maybe it's something close to meditation or transendance or something?

Dunno...just guessing...

œ’?›?@(koukotsu) means "ecstacy or trance" but knowing the Japanese I'm sure they use something different for trance music, they might even just use english, I dunno.

How about since it's foreign...
ƒeƒ‰ƒ“ƒX (teransu)
lol, I dunno.

btw, you need to have the Japanese language installed to view this. and make sure your browser is set to display it.

How do I set my browser to display other languages and if I don't have it, where can I download it from?

Thanks for your help.

What OS do you have? If its W2K or above you go to Regional Settings in the control panel and add them from there. Its different for W2k and XP but since I'm using XP...you click the language tab and click details then click add, select any language you want. It'll ask you for the CD.

Pre W2k you can download them from Windows Update.

To set IE to view them select View -> Encoding -> More -> Japanese (Shift-JIS)

I have XP. I just don't have the CD on me (I left it back in my dorm) so I can't do it.

First: the japanese word for trace is "toransu", not "teransu"

Second: Ayu's symbol is just a stylish way of writing the letter "A"

Third: There's a kanji I use for "rave" and could be used for "trance" as well... its real meaning is "the sound that entertains", but I'm having some trouble uploading it to my server, so I'll do it later

If you could upload a kanji for "rave" and a kanji for "trance" I would greatly appreciate it.

The kanji I use both for rave and trance:

A Kanji I've made (so it's not true Japanese) for the TA ibero-american forum website (it's a dj and a guy dancing)
