For a trance Dj to be on European MTV would be fucking crazy too.
I actually never saw one spinning his shit on MTV. I did see a Blank and Jones video on it (for example) but never a dj spinning.

I'm personally not a huge Oakie fan, but to see & hear trance being played on MTV here is just crazy.

MTV went through a phase about 3 years ago where they tried to embrass the dance culture scene. Paul Van Dyk appeared on that Carson Daly show he was mixing between videos and plugging some club he was going to be at, also the first ever fasionable loud was done with Dj's.

that was cool
back, it ended. i really dont see why paul oakenfold has got such a bad rap among some people here. he's obviuosly really talented and he's was one of the pioneering DJ's, he's been around for a really long time. i love his gigs, luckly i've gotten to see him twice.
another issue that i tend to feel is that a lot of TA like the fact that this music is not mainstream and the second it does get to a point where it could they diss it or say its not good, i praise both paul oakenfold and MTV for bringing this music out to the masses! well thats my two cents.
