one of the reasons they think it was so prevelent in the gay community was because of a person called agent x.
agent x was a gay individual who worked as a steward for some airline. he worked a regular route form san fran to nyc (i think). anyway this guy somehow picked up the virus and was very very promiscuous. having sex with a different person almost every nite he went out to party. now he would go out and party in san fran. and nyc along with any other cities he visited whilst working for hte airline.
so you have a guy flying all over the place who has a minimum of two new sexual partners a week. so he's spreading it all over the states, while the numerous guys he's doing are picking it up and spreading it to others. they say this guy had almost 300 different sexual partners
