Oakenfold is THE reason i started listening to trance. Back in the late 90s, he WAS trance. everyone who is critical of him should keep in mind his status as a pioneer.
that being said, i became a little disenfranchised when he released Bunnkaa. While that disc had some pretty good tracks on it, it sure as hell wasn't trance, and definetley was not his best.
but i am back behind him 100 percent after he released The Great Wall. That album is quite good. Although I feel the first disk was a bit lacking, the second was incredible. The mix of FEAR by Ian Brown to start it off is haunting, and it finishes on a great note with As the Rush Comes.
Oakie is the man!
