You can mix a bit of progressive, but really, this should be a trance mix competition. To allow one person to get away with doing all progressive, or all house or all goa or whatever, and get big ups for having a 'unique' set would be unfair in the spirit of the competition

This is supposed to be fun!

true. myself, like phill, dig progressive trance right now, but keeping it in one genre makes it easier for the judges and easier to compare. not only, as u said, does music swap sounds across genres, but so do styles. u could play house music for example in so many different ways. keeping it confined to one genre sort of forces us to experiment and dig and push ourselves to do the most out of whats available.. i know im digging a lot just to find tracks and sounds i like for this competition =D
